11405_balmer.jpgSo, I was trying to figure out why Windows’ little search thingie wasn’t finding anything I searched for in a set of Coldfusion undelivered mail messages. It was as if it simply didn’t see the text in the emails at all. Weird. So, I poked around, and happened to find this MS support doc . It’s grotesque — basically, in order to get Windows to do what it’s supposed to do, you have to hack your registry and click thru several layers of obscure settings. You need to pretend to turn on indexing of files with unknown extentions, and then force MS to listen to what you just told it to do.
